Sebenarnya garam kasar boleh berfungsi sebagai bahan pelarut bagi sisa-sisa yang tersumbat dalam saluran sinki. Masukkan garam kasar ke dalam lubang sinki dan kemudian curah dengan air panas. Pasti sisa-sisa tadi akan larut.
